Join us for an afternoon of botanical creativity at Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop! Guest instructor Rebecca Block will show you how to get started on learning the basics of watercolor painting.

You'll learn several watercolor tricks to create paintings of hummingbirds and butterflies. Even if you've tried watercolors before, Rebecca can help you get over the difficulties you've experience in the past. At this session you'll find out how to manipulate this medium to create the "magical" effects we always see but never knew how to accomplish! All supplies are also provided so all you have to do is show up! High-quality, vibrant paints will be used, and ready-to-paint pollinator drawings on watercolor paper will be provided. You'll go home with helpful handouts and a suggested supply list for continuing their skills at home.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to sign in. All guests attending the workshop require a ticket for entry, but walk-ins will be allowed if the class is not filled. Call 314-764-2140 to double check! Meet us at the greenhouse register for check-in. This event coincides with our regular Wednesday Garden Happy Hour, so alcoholic and other beverages will be available for purchase while you work!
