Retired cop has lost his life in a robbery attempt
St. Louis City : A retired cop, Ralph E. Harper of 67 age had served the city for 33 years and was leading a peaceful life until he was shot to death on Monday morning.
The tragedy took place at 7:30 am in the 3100 block of Lackland Avenue, when a robber tried to shoot him. Ralph immediately responded with his own gun and there was an exchange of fire between the two, which resulted in the death of Ralph. Ralph was quickly taken to the hospital, but lost his last breath after two hours. According to a policeman, the suspects are arrested and further investigation is going on.
Mourning on Ralphs sudden death, his neighbor and Police chief John Hayden expressed his great sorrow saying, that it is very challenging to digest the absence of Ralph. Ralph family is a well known family in the city, which together served 200 years of service, said another senior policeman
